Dubai RTA Announces Complimentary Parking and Public Transport Hours for New Year’s Holiday 2025
On January 1, parking in public areas will be free, excluding multi-story facilities. The Dubai Metro will run on December 31, 2024, from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM, and on January 1, 2025, from midnight to 11:59 PM. Today, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai revealed the service hours for the upcoming New Year’s holiday. These hours apply to customer happiness centers, paid parking areas, public buses, the Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport, and service provider centers.
The RTA also stated that its service provider centers and customer happiness centers will be closed on January 1 for the holiday. Normal operating hours will resume on January 2. The RTA confirmed that all public parking will be free on January 1, with paid parking resuming on January 2.

Dubai Metro and Tram
During the New Year’s holiday 2025, the Dubai Metro will operate on December 31, from 5:00 AM until 11:59 PM, and on January 1, from midnight to 11:59 PM. The Dubai Tram will run on December 31 from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM and on January 1 from midnight to 1:00 AM the following day.
The E100 bus route from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station will be suspended from December 31 to January 1. Passengers can utilize Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi during this time. Additionally, the E102 bus route from Al Jafiliya Bus Station will also be suspended. The RTA recommends using the route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Shabiya Musaffah during this period.

Water Taxi
The RTA announced that the Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3) water taxi route will operate from 4:00 PM until midnight. On-demand services will be available from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but prior booking is required. The Marina Mall 1 – Marina Walk (BM1) route will run from noon to 11:10 PM. The Marina Promenade – Marina Mall 1 (BM1) route will be in service from 1:50 PM to 9:45 PM, and the Marina Terrace – Marina Walk (BM1) route will be available from 1:50 PM to 9:50 PM. The complete route will operate from 3:55 PM to 9:50 PM.

Dubai Ferry
The RTA also shared the Dubai Ferry schedule for the New Year’s Holiday 2025:

The Dubai Old Souq – Bani Yas (CR3) Abras route will operate from 11:00 AM to 11:50 PM during the New Year’s Holiday 2025. The Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha (CR4) and Al Fahidi – Deira Old Souq (CR5) routes will be available from 11:00 AM to 11:45 PM. The Bani Yas – Al Seef (CR6) route will run from 11:00 AM to 12:20 AM. The Al Seef – Al Fahidi – Dubai Old Souq (CR7) route will be available from 3:10 PM to 10:55 PM.
Additionally, the Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City (BM2) route will operate from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, while the Al Jaddaf – Dubai Creek Harbour (CR11) route will run from 7:15 AM to 4:00 PM.
